“What a beautiful sight it is to see messengers coming with good news! How beautiful to see them coming down from the mountains with a message about peace! How wonderful it is when they bring the good news that we are saved! How wonderful when they say to Zion,” Your God rules!" (Isaiah 52:7 NIRV)

The above-listed passage touched Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant’s heart and has stayed on her mind, ever since it was clarified and illuminated by her father when he used it as the text for his initial sermon in March 1987 in Detroit, MI.  This scripture does an excellent job of depicting the awesome grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Perhaps, it was the quickening of the feet to bring to good news, or the blessings in the news of itself that “Your God Reigns.”  Nonetheless, the Word of God never returns void and it has motivated Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant to live a life committed to Christ Jesus and the mission of His Holy Work.

On, Sunday, October 8, 2006, Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant received her license to Preach the Gospel from the Washington Annual Conference after she delivered her first sermon entitled, “The Basics: Faith, Hope, Love” at Faith AME in Laurel, MD.  While serving at Faith AME Church, Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant was appointed as Minister to Women and as the Health & Fitness Ministry Chair.  She is currently serving here at Turner Memorial AME Church as a member of the Ministerial Staff and Director of the Health Ministry.  Furthermore, on the Capitol District level she currently serves as the Chair of the Committee on Health and Fitness Education.

As a physician specializing in podiatric medicine Dr. Lubrina is the CEO of District Podiatry, PLLC in Washington, DC.  In this office she provides care for her patients as well as provides consultant services to nursing homes in Virginia. Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant has always felt compelled to display God’s goodness and gentleness, as she treats her patients.  It is no secret that she allows the Holy Spirit to guide her while she works.  This is demonstrated by her commitment to helping God’s people by guiding them with proper health practices for their lower extremities.  Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant has practiced podiatric medicine for past 11 years.  She is a graduate of Temple University Medical College, School of Podiatric Medicine and Jackson State University with a B.S. degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine.

In an effort to give back to the community, Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant organizes outreach projects. She is an active member of The National Black Leadership on AIDS, Inc., DC and Vicinity Chapter and serves on The Health Committee – Podiatry Division of the Prince George’s County Chapter of The NAACP.

Rev. Dr. Lubrina Bryant is a hearer and also a doer of God’s Word. She knows that “God Rules,” and declares Him to be first in her life.  God has blessed her with a husband, Marvin Sr. and two sons, Jay Harold and Marvin, Jr.  She is the daughter Pastor Jerry Hatter (Brown Chapel AME Church, Ypsilanti, MI) and the late Evangelist Mary Louise Hatter.  Throughout her life she has remained humble to God and will continue to do so as long as she never forget that “He Rules.”
